A new UMass-WCVB survey shows Gov. Maura Healey’s overall approval rating has “noticeably” fallen from previous polls. … Jesse Rhodes, a professor of political science at UMass Amherst, attributed the slippage (from 58 percent last fall to the current 52 percent) to inflation and the high-cost-of-living in the state — and Rhodes called the new numbers a “flashing red light of warning for (Healey) and her top advisors.” … Still, the governor polls strong against potential GOP challengers.
Needless to say, Donald Trump’s approval ratings are considerably lower across Massachusetts, though some of his recent executive orders receive slightly stronger support from voters. … The BBJ has more on all the numbers.
